Modi'in is a well-designed modern city. Founded in the 1990s, Modi'in was later merged with Maccabim and Re'ut in 2003 to form a unified municipality. The city is situated approximately 35 km southeast of Tel Aviv and 30 km west of Jerusalem, connected via Highway 443; with a high-speed train connecting Modiin to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. 

Based upon the last census of Modi'in in April 2025, Modiin has 108,682 residents in the city of whom 53,789 are men and 54,893 are women.

In terms of age segmentation, Modi'in is still considered one of the youngest cities in Israel, with the average age in the city being 34.6years. In addition, the city has the highest life expectancy in Israel, with an average age of 87.1 years. And 3% of the Modi'in population are olim.
